47 :: Releasing Sexual Trauma with Gina Marie

Episode Description

Join me as I have a rare in-person conversation with spiritual relationship, sex coach, and “heart surgeon of energy” Gina Marie.
We’re going in on how stored sexual stress or trauma can hold us back from fully experiencing life, sex and relationships. We also explore how to integrate this stress or trauma so that we can use the pain to empower ourselves and stand on our own two feet.
Listen in for tools and tips to unravel stress through our own breath, cutting through the complicated stickiness of any area of life, and the impact of the recent #MeToo movement on episode 47, Releasing Sexual Trauma with Gina Marie.

Gina Marie – BIO

Inspired to travel the world after college graduation, Gina Marie found a deep calling to explore the esoteric and spiritual world. While learning from masters and shamans in places like South America and India, she realized that the key to her own awakening was within herself, and that her true calling was to serve people and to support them in their process of freedom and awakening.
Now working mainly with sexual stress and sexual trauma, Gina Marie brings people together and creates a space in which they can be present with each other through breath, sound, and movement.
Gina loves leading modern day rituals inspired by her travels, and has exciting plans in the works to let her voice be heard even more this year.

45 :: Prioritizing HER Pleasure with Kim Sedgwick

Episode Description: Ladies, why are we so afraid to ask for what we want in the bedroom? We’re talking about opening up the channels of communication in the bedroom, and prioritizing all different kinds of pleasure, not just orgasm. Learn the beauty of letting go of your fears, saying goodbye to those pesky hangups, being fully seen for all of you, and creating true connection and intimacy with the right people (for you!). After majoring in English and Gender & Women’s Studies, Kim and her sister Amy founded Red Tent Sisters to teach women how to manage their fertility naturally through the Justisse Method, and helping them feel sexually empowered. Kim aims to change the definition of the passive “nice girl”, and teach women about the confidence that comes from knowing your boundaries and creating deep connections … Continue reading

Are you listening to the song of your Soul? Update on my Digital Pause

I realize I’ve been out of touch for quite a while. I’ve been thinking about my community (YOU!), holding you in my heart, planning to reach out, and….. I’ve been putting it off. Here’s an update from my last blog of 2015….. As you may have read, something really big was beginning to shift within me late summer/early fall 2015. The seed of that shift was planted a year before in the summer of 2014. As last September rolled around I found myself in the midst of a major life transition, with my only child going away to college and the next phase of my life beginning to peak through the soil and reach for the sunshine. My whole world started opening up before me. I felt…. scared, nervous, excited, confugled (it’s a word I made up years ago, sort of a blend of confused and mixed up ;), contemplative and full of anticipation to discover how my life will unfold before me in the days/months/years ahead. In October 2015 I began to dive into the beginning of a rebranding process for ‘Laura Aiisha’ while mapping out another plan that would possibly, potentially be the magic key that would allow … Continue reading

Are you partnering with or avoiding your shadow?

Allow me to introduce you to my shadow… the deep dark hidden parts of me that can pop up and out at the most inconvenient times.. the parts of me that I avoid because looking at them, embracing them even, causes me mild to severe discomfort..  the parts of me I pretend to have ‘overcome’ because of my commitment to personal growth.. the parts of me that need the most love, that are teaching me, aching to collaborate with me.. and half the time I ignore them. My shadow has been coming up for me over the last few months.. what really wants to come out here is that my shadow has been rearing it’s ugly head, or trying to anyways, since November. Dang… is my shadow really ugly? No, it’s not. But those are the terms that describe something that I am realizing I’ve done a great job avoiding. I consistently live outside of my comfort zone. It brings stuff up, it makes me uncomfortable, I stretch and grow, sometimes I want to hide. I’ve been realizing that stuff around my shadow has been becoming clearer to me since I returned from Bali in early November. That’s when I started … Continue reading
